785. Fine Pair Grand Tour French Bronze Busts MOZART and BEETHOVEN Sienna Marble 19Ct

Stunning Pair of Finely Cast Bronze Patinated Figural Sculptures Depicting the Busts of Violinist and Composer of the Classical era Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 1756-1791, and Pianist & Composer Ludwig van Beethoven 1710-1827.

Each bust supported by a plain ormolu socle, ending on an original platform Sienna marble base with beaded ormolu decoration, of Continental origin, probably French, early Nineteenth Century possibly Regency Period.

Condition: Superb untouched condition with good surface patination and no imperfections, except for a few tiny losses at some corners of the marble bases. Complete with original internal wooden loading.
