739. Antique Pair Regency Bronze Crystal Lustres Candlesticks Candelabra Eagles Prisms

A Stylish Pair of French Regency Period Patinated Bronze and Hand Cut Crystal Weighted Table or Mantle Single Light Lustres of superb craftsmanship and quality. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.

Each base formed from a perched Eagle with wings outstretched atop a neat cylindrical column, ending on a stunning cast socle on a plain square base. Acanthus leaf canopies each decorated with fifteen hand cut crystal spear facet cut shaped prisms.

Condition: Superb condition for such early pieces, original patinated bronze with no wear. These pieces retain their original iron weighted parts inside as well as their firm fitting drip pans. The crystal prisms which are perfect are original.
