317. Antique Regency Francesco Bartolozzi Hand Colored Stipple Engravings Pair 1815

An exceptional example of a Regency period hand colored stipple Engraving titled “Trap Ball” originally painted by William Hamilton engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi and published in London on 1788 by Susanna Vivares, complete with its original giltwood ornate frame with its original glazing. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.   

A late Georgian hand coloured oval engraving titled “Coming Home from School” after an 18th century original by Thomas Stothard (1755-1834) complete with its original giltwood rectangular frame. This picture is eglomise glazed with 18ct gold circular surround. circa 1815.   

Condition: Both are in very good condition with no imperfections except for some clouding is the black area of the larger. The backs of both have had the paper replaced, nicely done.
