289. Antique Pair Cobalt Blue French Sèvres Porcelain Ormolu Urns Vases Garnitures

Stunning Pair of French Sevres Soft Paste Enameled Porcelain and Ormolu Twin Handle Table or Mantle Urns of traditional urn form and of outstanding quality, and medium size proportions.  

The hand painted porcelain oviform body with slavish gilt scroll hand decoration decoration on a cobalt blue ground, encircled by a gilt metal scrolling twin handles, ending on square bases with canted corners  

Third  quarter of the Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier.   

Condition: Good condition for such early pieces with no losses to porcelain, all ormolu areas have been professionally cleaned with no losses to gilding.   

Height: (entire as shown on image one) 11.5″ (29cm). Width: (at widest across handles) 6.25″ (15cm). Depth: (at base) 3.5” (9cm).
