152. Antique Austrian Royal Vienna Mythological Porcelain Hand Painted Cabinet Plate

An Exceptionally Fine Quality Early Edwardian Signed Austrian Royal Vienna Cabinet Deep Dish Plate of circular outline. Last quarter of the Nineteenth Century. Signed lower left KNOILLEZ, a well-respected Artist who worked for KPM (Royal Porcelain Factory, Berlin) during the Nineteenth Century.  

The central reserve with a raised lavish tooled gilt border exquisitely hand painted with two classical Maidens and a scantily clad child within a leafy landscape, after Angelica Kauffman. The outer border with alternating panels of lavish scrolling gilding on an iron red ground.  

Titled verso Grazien 

Condition: Exceptional condition for such an early example, no wear to gilding, possibly never used, usual “BEEHIVE” mark in underglaze blue
