420. Antique French Carved Marble Architectural Castle Form Mantle Clock Timepiece

An Exceptional Well Figured Carved Marble Mantle Clock of French origin. Second half of the Nineteenth Century.

The stunning example of Architectural outline with an arched roof within a surrounding crenellation modelled to resemble an ancient Castle.

The circular white enameled stepped dial with black Roman hour numerals and steel Brequet hands.

Condition: Movement is in excellent, clean and running condition having been fully cleaned and serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum is in our opinion its original, the clock does not strike.

Condition of the marble case is good, the crenellation on top has a small marble replacement which is not matching in colour, see image two other areas of same have small old repairs, also a small loss at top side rim which is not noticeable.

Complete with pendulum, and key.
