An Exceptionally Fine Well Grained Tortoiseshell Ladies Table Casket of medium proportions, possibly of English origin. Last quarter of the Nineteenth Century. 

The hinged lid slightly cushioned in form with original white metal hinges and clasp. 

Condition: Superb untouched condition with good colour and rich patination to tortoiseshell, no losses, original cedar lined interior in nice clean order. The clasp closes firmly.
