Irish Belleek Tridanca Three Piece Tea Set First Period Black Mark 1863-1891 Early Irish Belleek Porcelain Tridanca Tea Pot with textured body and stylish almond pink wash detail. complete with original firm fitting cover with a finial, together with matching cream jug and sugar bowl. First Period Black Mark for 1863-1891. Condition: Superb condition for such early pieces, with no evidence of any restoration anywhere, impressed mark to base of all three (teapot mark is rubbed) with Irish Wolfhound, Round Tower and a Harp. Kerr and Robert Williams Armstrong approached David McBirney of Hibernian House, Aston Quay, Dublin to finance the venture. At the Dublin International Exhibition of 1865, Belleek displayed mainly stoneware and tableware, but also parian statuary and earthenware. During the initial stages, links with Staffordshire & Worcester Potteries are evident in design.
