An Exceptionally Fine Well Grained Tortoiseshell & Ivory Ladies Table Casket of medium proportions, made by English maker of vanity and other high end Boxes Thomas Lund. Fleet Street, London. First half of the Nineteenth Century.
The hinged lid slightly cushioned in form with original Mother of Pearl mount.
Condition: Superb untouched condition with good colour and rich patination to tortoiseshell, no losses, except for some loss to metal stringing on cover, the tortoiseshell is in superb condition. The interior retains its original dark blue velvet lining. Lock is present, key is lacking.
