An Exceptionally Fine Quality Early Edwardian Signed Austrian Royal Vienna Cabinet Shallow Dish Plate of circular outline. Last quarter of the Nineteenth Century. Unsigned but firmly attributed to KNOILLEZ, a well-respected Artist who worked for KPM (Royal Porcelain Factory, Berlin) during the Nineteenth Century.  

The central reserve with a raised lavish tooled gilt border exquisitely hand painted with three classical Maidens flanking a large bronze group within a leafy landscape, after Angelica Kauffman. The outer pink border with alternating panels of lavish scrolling gilding on an iron red ground.  

Titled verso Upfer ver Venus 

Condition: Exceptional condition for such an early example, no wear to gilding, possibly never used, usual “BEEHIVE” mark in underglaze blue
