A Very Fine & Rare Example of a Mariner’s Whale Bone Walking Cane of exceptional quality. First half of the Nineteenth Century, possibly of English origin.
The hand carved decorative grip modelled as closed fist holding a ball with a carving of a snake outside above a plain tapering shaft, complete with its original metal ferrule
Condition: This piece is offered in exceptional condition for such an early piece, no losses all hairlines are shown within the images. Two silver collars are present, possibly added to strengthen around the hairlines, however we are unsure why this was done.
Nice straight stick suitable for everyday use as its quite strong allover.
