A Very Fine Pair of French Late Empire Patinated Bronze & Well Grained creamy white statutory Marble Grand Tour Twin Handle Tazza of large and heavy proportions
First quarter of the Nineteenth Century, possibly Regency period.
Each circular bowl with Acanthus Leaf cast body and decorative moulded beaded detail rims and twin bronze handles modelled as leaves and berries, ending on a central reeded socle base above a square marble central support with plinth base, with twin beaded bronze mounts. Finials cast as Bears.
Condition: These pieces have been professionally cleaned, original patinated bronze with no wear at high points, very good condition, each base with added fabric protective pads, tiny repair at base of marble on one, see image.
