A Very Imposing example of an English well figured Mahogany late Regency Period snap-top Occasional Table of small proportions, in our opinion is of Irish Manufacture. Circa 1815-20.
The tilt up rectangular surface with rounded corners locks firmly to the very ornate hand carved central column, ending on a tripart base with similar elaborate carvings, see close up images for viewing.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses anywhere, nice surface patination allover. Mechanism underneath works very well.
Width: (entire as shown at top) 30" (76cm). Height: 28.25” (72cm). Depth: 21” (53cm).
