Very Unusual Fine Quality English Ladies or Gentleman’s Walking Stick or Dress Cane of outstanding quality and stylish design, last quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
Sterling Silver Mark of: James Scholes, dated 1897.
The tau shaped wooden grip mounted on both ends with Sterling silver embossed mounts above a silver collar with similar detailing ending on a circular tapering ebonized shaft, complete with its original polished bi-metal (brass and steel) ferrule.
Condition: Good condition with nice patination, the original ferrule is a little worn, see images. This is a nice, elegant example and very usable for a Lady or a stylish gentleman.
