A Stylish Example of an Early Victorian Country House Style Identical Pair of Heavy Duty Polished Brass Fire Dogs, Chenets or Andirons of unusually generous proportions. Mid Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier of English or French origin. 

Each upright modelled with a single ring turned upright surmounted with reeded ball motif, above two slender splayed scrolled supports ending on reeded pad feet. 

Condition: Exceptional condition for such early pieces, possibly never used, no losses anywhere, professionally re-polished.
