An Exceptionally Fine Pair of Cantonese Hand Decorated Porcelain Oil Lamps with ornate Ormolu bases now converted to Electric Table Lamps, of medium proportions, (see last image in situ) mid Nineteenth Century.
The main outer bodies of bulbous form above slender flaired necks, richly adorned in the Famille Rose palette with hand painted panels in bright enamels in colours depicting Chinese Landscape Scenes with lavish gilt accents, other areas with exotic birds, insects, flowers and foliage on celadon ground. Raised on plain heavy gauge stepped circular cast ormolu bases.
Condition: These Lamps have been professionally re-gold plated and re-wired. There is no evidence of any restotation and no losses to gilt highlights.
