STUNNING PAIR ORMOLU & BRONZE CANDELABRA

A Very Impressive & Superbly Cast Pair of Figural Patinated Bronze & Ormolu Twin Arm Candelabra of medium proportions, early to mid Nineteenth Century, of French origin.

Depicting the Goddess of War Pallas Athena & Proctectress of Athens wearing a Military Cuirass and Plumbed Helmet, holding a Spear and a Shield of Medusa by her side, her half brother Ares  in similar attire. Both raised of exceptional quality circular ormolu socles ending on square bronze bases.

Condition: Good condition, these pieces have been professionally re-bronze patinated and gold plated, original firm fitting drip pans.
