An Exceptionall Fine Speciman Marble Topped Occasinal Circular Table with carved Mahogany Base, first half of the Nineteenth Century.
The circular top with various square marbles to include Sienna, Sarrancolin, Brocatello, Portoro and others, on an ornate mahogany lavish carved single ring and acanthus leaf central column raised on a tripod base complete with original brass castors.
Condition: Superb untouched condition with no losses, nice surface patination to mahogany.
Height: 28" (71cm). Top: (diam) 24" (61cm).
Note: These speciman marble tops were made in Italy, usually Florence and were supplied to English furniture makers during the Nineteenth century.
The superb hand carved base would have been carved in England.
This is a wonderful example in superb untouched condition.
