A Very Rare Irish Georgian Crested Dublin Silver Tea Caddy Box of Oval Outline with Straight-Sided Body. The hinged cover with its original oval beaded removable finial. Last quarter of the Eighteenth Century 

Delicate hand engraving all around bands at top and lower parts 

Mark of T. J. for early Dublin Silversmith Thomas Jones. 

Thomas Jones was a Silversmith working in Dublin in the late Eighteenth Century, a workshop in Castle Street. He became freeman in 1774 and was Master Warden of the Company of Goldsmiths in 1791 

Assayed in Dublin 1785.   

Condition: Good firm condition, a few surface scratches. Lock and key are lacking.
