Note:

President John F. Kennedy was the first US president to receive a gift from Waterford Crystal; this tradition carries on to this day. On March 17th 1961, the Ambassador of Ireland presented President Kennedy with an arrangement of shamrocks in an exquisitely large Waterford Crystal Bowl at the White House. The Waterford Bowl JFK was gifted is the same type of first edition Bowl as this one From that moment forward, the prestigious bowl became known as the Waterford Crystal Kennedy Bowl. The original bowl now sits in the Kennedy Library. In 2013, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of JFK’s visit to Ireland in 1963, House of Waterford Crystal hosted an event where a replica Waterford Kennedy Bowl (2nd edition) was presented to mark the occasion. In 2021, House of Waterford Crystal created another replica Waterford Kennedy Bowl (3rd edition) in a limited run of 140 pieces that were for sale to the public. Tom Brennan, Waterford’s Director, stated that it will be the last time the bowl will ever be produced.
