An Exceptional and Handsome French Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Mantle Time Piece of outstanding quality. Last quarter of the Nineteenth Century.  

The main case embellished with decorative hand painted Sevres porcelain panels, half reeded columns to each side, on top is a large Urn of prosperity flanked by two Ram’s heads, raised on four toupie supports. 

Howell James & Cie (to the queen London & Paris) French movement strikes on hour and half hour. Circular original white enamel dial with Roman Numerals and stylish spade decorative hands.
