A Very Fine Quality Pair of French Louis XV inspired Patinated and Gilt Bronze Figural Twin Branch Candelabra of good size proportions (see last image in-situ) depicting Bacchanal Figures of standing Winged Cherubs or Putto. Both with finely sculped features and mounted atop a circular reeded statutory marble socle ending on a square platform base raised on four decorative toupie ormolu supports, made during the first half of the Nineteenth Century, after a model by Claude Michel Clodion French 1738-1814.
Both supporting twin branches decorated with applied veined leaves and rose buds topped with original firm fitting drip pans
Condition: Superb condition for such early pieces with no restoration anywhere, professionally re-gold plated and bronze patinated. Some light character staining at marble bases, see image.
