A Substantial Sea Ray or Shark Fish Vertebrae (backbone) and Ivory Walking Stick mounted on an iron core, Silver collar hallmark for 1890.

With a stylish “L” shaped Ivory handle and embossed silver collar, the tapering main shaft ending with its original silver plated on copper ferrule.

* It was common for Sailors to build by hand this style of Cane and then trade them off for drinks or even a special favour from a lady when they came to shore.
