Stunning Parian Group depicting Two Male Nude Hunters after French Artist & Sculptor Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse 1824-1887. 

Firmly attributed to Minton, mid to late Nineteenth Century 

The taller standing male looks left with one hand stretched above his partner who is kneeling on a naturalistic rocky base. 

Condition: Superb condition for such an early piece. There is a firing crack underneath and a loss at back of one figure, see images. 

Height: (entire) 15.75” (38.5cm). Width: (at base) 11.25” (28.5cm). Depth: (at base) 7.75” (19.75cm).

Albert Ernest Carrier Belleuse 1824-1887, Artist and Sculptor, began his career at the young age of thirteen with an apprenticeship under Bauchery, a Parisian ciseleur, or chiseler. He began to receive accolades for his fine art sculptures after ten years showing his works. Among his sculptures and artwork for sale that received critical acclaim is the Messiah, which earned him a Medal of Honor and the cross of the Legion d’Honneur.
