747. Antique Blue Wedgwood Jasper Ware Jardiniers Mythological Classical Scenes 1861

An Exceptionally Fine Example of a Pair of English Jasper Ware Wedgwood Jardiniers of good size proportions, complete with their original undertrays. Mid Nineteenth Century, dated 1861.  

Decorated with Neo-Classical reliefs in white on powder blue jasper ground, the undertrays with decoration depicting thistles, flowers, roses and berries within foliage. 

Condition: Superb condition, please note one undertray has four small areas of old restorations see image, all other three pieces are perfect. 

Impressed base marks WEDGWOOD and three letter date code DVQ for year of manufacture 1861. 

Height: (entire as shown image one) 6.75" (17.5cm). Diameter: (top rim). 8.25" (21cm).
