Stunning identical Pair of English Sterling Silver mounted Glass Spirits or Wine Decanters of waisted form. Late Nineteenth Century.
The unusual original silver covered ball formed glass stoppers above wavy shaped silver mounts and richly embossed silver collars. Each body with inverted sides ending on bulbous bases. Polished pontil to each underneath. This decanter model is commonly called “Glug Glug Decanters”
Condition: Good condition for such early pieces. No inside clouding, wonderful evidence of age wear at base underneath. No losses to silver.
Makers Mark is indistinct. Hallmark for London 1899.
