An Exceptionally Fine Pair Japanese Satsuma Hand Painted Porcelain Vases of outstanding quality. First quarter of the Twentieth Century, late Meiji period.   

Of ovoid form, each hand painted in a garden setting with a continuous scene of Japanese Ladies in landscape with a Cherry Blossom tree overhead, ending on circular bases with lavish gilt and iron red banding. 

Condition: Exceptional condition for such an early example, no losses or wear to gilding. Base markings as shown.
