Superb Rare Polished Well Figured banded Partridge wood Sword Stick of outstanding quality, enclosing its original square tapering polished steel blade, late Nineteenth Century, of English origin.
The chevron hand carved bovine grip with a lavish mounted pommel with floral decoration, above a tapering banded shaft with original bi-metal (polished brass and steel) unusually long ferrule.
Mark of H H for Harrison Brothers & Howson, Norfolk Street, Sheffield, England. Assay mark for Sheffield 1891.
Condition: Good condition with nice patination, the sword mechanism in very good firm condition which locks firmly, light wear to bovine carved area, see image.
