497 Regency Mahogany Bow-Fronted Sideboard manner of Gillows


An Exceptionally Fine Quality English Regency Pale Flame Mahogany Bow-Fronted Sideboard, with ebony and boxwood strung inlays, in the manner of Gillows. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.

The bow-front shaped top above a central single drawer, with a recessed cupboard below behind a sliding tambour single door, with a large single cupboard to the right and a drawer and smaller cupboard to the left, raised on six reeded tapering legs terminating in peg feet. Finished with unusual polished brass ring handles with Lion mask circular back plates, which are original to this exceptionally fine early piece of English furniture.

Condition: This piece has been professionally lightly restored and is in superb condition, nice surface patination, original brass handles.
