366. Antique Pair English Royal Crown Derby Hand Painted Tureens Centerpieces Bowls


Very Elegant Pair of Early English Regency Royal Crown Derby Twin Scroll Handle Oval Outlined Food Tureens of compact proportions. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century. 

Lavishly gilded and hand decorated with various Summer Flowers on an off-white ground, each raised on four gilt claw supports with applied Lion’s heads above. Complete with their firm fitting dome shaped covers with applied gilt reeded handles. 

Condition: Good condition for such early pieces except for one cover gilt handle has been re-attached, this is difficult to detect, wear to gilding at high points. Good fresh and bright colours. Back and front views are similar. Bases with iron red Derby mark for 1806 to1825.
