An exceptionally fine example of a Gentlemans Tunbridge Ware Parquetry inlaid Cigar or Cigarette Casket of generous size. Last half of the Nineteenth Century, of English origin. 

The hinged lid with superb diamond pattern inlay decoration within a plain mahogany frame edged with quadrant polish brass moulding. The front opening to reveal four removable trays can contain 52 Cigars of various sizes.

Tray four 13 X 4.5” Cigars. 

Condition: Good untouched condition with no losses, nice surface patination, baise underneath has been replaced, nicely done.
