Fine Identical Pair French Heavy Gauge Ormolu & Bronze Ewers of good size proportions and of outstanding quality, in the manner of Claude Michel Clodion, third quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
The tapering ovoid body cast with a Bacchic procession between bands of grapes and vines, the scroll handle surmounted with a feathered bird and a Bronze seated Cherub holding a bunch of grapes.
Condition: Professionally re-gold plated and bronze patinated, no losses or imperfections. No foundry marks visible.
