Wonderful Identical Pair of Early English Hand Painted Royal Crown Derby Style Lidded Urns of generous proportions, possibly used for purpose as Pot Pourri or Pastile Burners of traditional form. Mid Twentieth Century, probably made in Staffordshire by one of the then many Potteries.
Lavishly hand decorated in cerise pink and light green on a white ground depicting swags of Roses in a continuous allround band with lavish gilding allover, each rim with four projecting Lion's heads ending on four paw feet on a shaped inverted base. The circular cover with similar decoration.
Condition: Superb condition with no restoration, light wear to gilding at high points. These pieces are unmarked.
