An Extremely Stylish French Ormolu and Bronze Double Inkwell Encrier of outstanding heavy gauge quality and compact size. Made during the first half of the Nineteenth Century.
Of rectangular outline with a hinged lid with elaborate scrolling detail within a border of Acanthus leaf decoration.
Condition: Superb condition for such an early piece, with no evidence of any losses or imperfections. This piece has been professionally re-gold plated and bronze patinated, both original porcelain inkwells are present.
