Stunning Chinese Hand Carved Cinnabar Lacquer Bowl and Cover of outstanding quality, made during the lfirst half of the Twentieth Nineteenth Century.

The short neck deep rounded bulbous body above a cylindrical spreading foot. The main body carved through deep layers of cinnabar lacquer depicting sectional landscape oval reserves all against a dense diapered ground. The circular domed cover similarly carved. The interior of both parts and base are of mid blue lacquer on bronze metal.   

Measures: Height (an impressive) 8” (20.5cm), Width: (at widest) 6.75" (17cm). Diameter: (base) 3.5” (9cm).   

Condition: Superb condition with no imperfections, possibly never used. Back and front views are similar. This piece is typically unmarked, guaranteed to be of the period
