470. Fine Flame Mahogany Sidecabiner attrib. Gillingtons Dublin


An Exceptional Well Figured Flame Mahogany Side Cabinet of Rectangular outline and compact proportions, first quarter of the Nineteenth Century.

Attributed to Dublin maker Gillingtons. The rectangular Flame Mahogany top with twin panelled doors enclosing an original  fitted pigeonhole style interior, flanked by twin pilasters with unusual leaf mouldings, ending on a plain platform base.

The fine and unusual piece because of its interior was possibly commissioned for an Architect or a Draughtsman.

Would be very suitable for storing a wine collection!

Condition: This piece is offered in very good professionally restored condition, nice surface patination, all oak lined inside.
