An Absolutely Stunning Identical Pair of George II English Sterling Silver Waiters of outstanding heavy gauge quality and condition, each raised on three stepped pad feet.  

Each with stylish border decoration of six large shell motifs interspersed with six small similar motifs. 

Each salver is crested in the center and inscribed “ANIMO NON ASTUTIA” which translates “By Courage and not by Craft”.   

Mark of J.R. for John Robinson 1731-1765. 

Assayed in London 1738.   

Condition: Superb, no imperfections, or erasures.
