741. LARGE Hand Painted Chinese Oriental Flare Rim Vase 18th Ct


An Extremely Rare Large Size Early Daoguang Period (1820-1850) Chinese Export Porcelain Vase of cylindrical form with a flare rim top. This could possibly have been a large Brush Pot Holder. 

The main body area decorated in various tones of underglaze blue with a pair of Chinese Dragons and foliate branches on an off white ground. 

This vase is typically of this period unmarked.

 

Height: (an impressive) 17.75" (45cm).  Diameter: (at base) 6" (15cm). Diameter: (top rim) 7.75" (19.5cm).
