A Very Fine Pair of French Patinated Bronze & Well Grained Sienna Marble Grand Tour Twin Handle Tazza of compact proportions. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
Each circular bowl with lobed reeded body and decorative moulded thumb detail rims and twin bronze handles modelled as Griffons, raised on square shaped and stepped marble plinth base with a band of acanthus leaf gilt bronze mount. Set four well cast decorative motifs on all sides of marble.
Condition: These pieces have been professionally cleaned, original patinated bronze with no wear at high points, some very light staining inside bowls. Original internal wooden bases present. Back and front views are alike
