551 Rare Set Georgian Steel and Brass Fire Tools Circa 1800


An Impressive Complete Set of English Georgian Polished Solid Steel Fire Tools, late Eighteenth, early Nineteenth Century. The shovel has an elaborate fret cut to its centre and is held in place by hand formed steel rivets to its blunt arrow form buttress. The tongs are centred via a deep turned bullseye pivot joint. Poker is finished off with a tapered and squared off prodder. All three tools have original unusual decorative polished diamond pattern removable brass handles.
