Very Fine Early Nineteenth Century Irish Twin Door Pier Cabinet of compact proportions. First half of the Nineteenth Century.
The rectangular top with its use of rope edge detailing is typical of furniture made in Ireland in County Cork during the Nineteenth Century. The twin hinged doors with diamond pattern brass grills enclosing two adjustable shelves, raised on superbly carved claw feet.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece, offered with desirable aged patination to surfaces and original brass panels.
