An Exquisite Example of a Twin Handle Ormolu & Patinated Bronze Twin Ink Desk Stand - Encrier, of traditional shaped  rectangular form. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.

The main stand with an all round band of finely cast ormolu scroll and fish decoration, the central bronze plate with a central stamp covered holder and a pair of cut glass crystal  ink pots with original ormolu covers. Raised on four ormolu bun supports. First quarter of the Nineteenth century of French origin. 

Condition: This entire piece has been professionally re-gold plated & bronze patinated.
